Default 2010 Malibu LTZ (Service Traction)

Was at a red light foot was on break noticed car stutter(shake whatever you want to call it) so took it to Chevrolet dealer here in San Antonio told them just got the car have had it less than a month been driving fine but noticed that weird stutter so brought it in thinking it was transmission oil needed or something..

They checked all fluids said everything was fine & full.

So I take off which it drives smooth then I get on the hwy & feel as if it was driving rough & see (Service Traction) & ECS off pop up on my dash for the 1st time which I never have on to begin with.

Now car runs rough so what do I do about this?????

I then went to a personal mechanic spoke with him then after leaving & restarting my car to head home the (Sevice Traction) & ECS were off & car was driving fine.

(NO SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT ON)

Default 2011 Malibu

i am having the same problem with my malibu. It started in december Service traction and service ESC light keeps coming on and off and my engine light is one.
took it to the dealer, they said i needed a tune up. paid over 400 for tune up. one week later light comes on again and the jumping or backfiring starts again. they said i need an intake and exhaust solenoids replacement. paid approximatley 300 for that.
Oh but wait one week later same thing. backfiring, feels like it dont want to pick up speed and service tacking and service esc lights are on..Well this time they said it some holes around i think they said the fuel something. so i had to pay 300.00 to fix that

Well i am back again and not one week later.. this time they think its some type of cylinder something i am so confused right now i dont know what to do.\

How many times are you suppose to bring your car in for the same lights and get told something different is wrong with it? shouldn't they detect these things when it is put on the machine? I am starting to think either they dont know what's wrong or they are delibratley making me pay for something.

CAN ANYONE HELP ME FIGURE OUT WHAT IS WRONG WITH MY CAR SO THIS DEALERSHIP CAN STOP CHARGING ME UNNECESSARILY?

Default Any resolution on this?

My car has seemingly been doing this exact thing this past week. Only happens when in 6th gear (2010 LTZ 2.4L 6sp) at very low throttle, like 55-60mph highway speed. If I catch a slight incline and need to throttle up just that little bit, something happens that feels like a slip/lurch, and I'll get a code for 'SERVICE TRACTION' and then 'SERVICE ESC' across the dash.
Problem is, those codes go away after a few seconds if those steps aren't repeated, and it doesn't happen consistently.

So was this ever figured out? I just replaced the MAP sensor on Tuesday, as that code was thrown, but the same slipping issue happened again this morning, that I could repeat with scientific exactness - but then didn't happen on my way back from work. Only common theme to when it happened vs when it didn't is outside temperature.
