Purchased 2011 Malibu LTZ with 205 miles. Bought with expectation of 32 mpg highway, and 22 mpg city. Currently car has 13,000 miles, broke in with a combination of highway and city driving in Phoenix, Arizona. Car has never achieved better 24 mpg on either on highway or city. Dealer in Suprise, Az. says the car is not broke in yet. Been into dealer twice. Car also has transmission shifting problem. Downshifts with rpm redline occasionally, no errors codes, Taken to same dealership but no resolution since no error codes. Now transmission is shifting into neutral after driving away from stoplight. This is a safety problem since shifting into neutral after driving away from a stoplight can cause the person behind you to rear end me. Has anyone had these kinds of problems.
