Hey,
I've got a 2014 Chevy Malibu LS 2.5l with many electrical things not working. Windows are not operational with the switches, we've tested the motor it self with a diagnostic tool and it works perfectly, replaced the driver door switch, relay is good too and still having the same issue. The diagnostic tool is showing that the Driver door lock and unlock system is shorted as well as All Door lock and lock shorted to ground. We replaced the lock/unlock switch but nothing, we can't get it to lock or unlock with the diagnostic tool, we tested the relay and its fine. We opened the harness at the door jamb on the body pillar and tested every door actuator (gave it 12V both ways and it lock and unlocks). Diagnostic tool is throwing codes for tail lamps, LF, LR and RR turn signal, the only lights that work are high beams, low beam on the right and right front turn signal. All light bulbs are good but its showing that all of these are shorted to ground. We've changed the BCM to a new one and used the AC delco's SPS2 to program it but nothing changed. Lastly, for some reason the BCM is seeing 35.3 Volts from the battery and its stuck on that value (its throwing a code B1517-07-battery voltage high). At start up it charges the battery up to 14.5V-14.8V then gradually drops down to 13.5-13.8V, but we noticed the red cable that goes to the top of the fuse box gets really hot, to the point it melted the heat shrink and made it really brittle.
We've been running around chasing all these problems but haven't found solutions for any of them, I hope someone here might have an idea as to whats happening with my Malibu.
Thanks in advance,
Filip
