i have a 2002 chevy malibu which in the history codes im getting a code b2960 which means: Passlock cylinder data incorrect. would i have to get a new key cylinder or would i have to change the body control module (bcm) or both should be replaced please get back to me asap my email is lostboy85us@yahoo.com

 

hello i have a 2002 Chevy Malibu which i bought used about a 6mounts ago. I hooked up a scanner to it im getting a history code b2960 pass-lock cylinder data incorrect. would that mean i need to replace the key cylinder or the body control module (BCM) or would they both need to be replaced as a pair and should i buy the parts from dealer or could i get them from the parts store near my house.
