I've got about 1900 miles on my 2016 Malibu Premier and it couldn't be better! Get around 28MPG around town and I recently took a trip of 400 miles and averaged 36.4 MPG.

At this point, the only thing I haven't been able to figure out is how the 7th and 8th speeds in the transmission works. By putting the transmission in L and manually using the + button on top of the shifter, it will go into 7th and 8th, but it would seem that it should work automatically. A recent trip I took in Colorado that had about a 70 mile downgrade didn't activate those gears.

The manual doesn't say anything.

Does anyone have any ideas?
