Hello,

First off I would like to say that I am new to this forum, but from what I have read I really like what I have seen so far. Anyways I drive a 2004 malibu maxx its my first car, I recieved it as a graduation gift. I have had the car for about 3 years with no major problems. However this one night I got caught in a storm and ran into a puddle...I sucked up water in to the intake manifold...Ive tried changing the spark plugs, wires, battery and alternator...however nothing has worked..when it gets a jump the engine clicks like it wants to turn over but doesnt.

My first question is from what I have described is it really a blown motor...?

If so do I need a new head, bottom end or a whole new long block...?

What is the engine code for my motor and how much will it cost..

if you ran through deep water and stalled it out ,i don't think you blew the engine if you pulled the plugs and turned it over to force any water out of the cylinders,new plugs no water in the oil .you probably just got the electrics wet let it dry out ,if you have a salamander heater run it for a while pointed under the open hood ,and try it .
