Default compression problem
2002 Malibu 3.1 oil coming out of exhaust port number 3 cylinder low compression 45 is this a oil ring problem?

sounds like maybe a oil ring stuck and letting the oil pass it by or maybe a valve seal ! if it has a lot of miles on it than it's possibly could be a valve seal or ring !

Oil ring won't cause low compression, however an exhaust valve either burnt, or not seating will, and also the oil in the exhaust. If you can get a small flex scope, pull the #3 plug, see what's going on.
