My wife's car has been making a whining/humming noise, similar to that of oversize tires on a big truck. It isn't an engine noise, because it gets louder and quieter with wheel speed. I noticed grease from the cv joint boots, all around the wheel wells, which is why I thought it was the cv joints. I ordered a new one from Lordco, and it is different from the one in the car. I brought the new one back with the one I pulled out, and they couldn't seem to find the right one anywhere. what the heck? anybody know what's going on???
