Default dealer repairs?

2007 chevy malibu. dealer said I had to replace BCM, and dealer said instrument cluster bad too.. Do you have to replace both as a pair if nothing wrong with instruments? Initial problem radio and indications on radio panel intermittent. Thanks.

I don't believe it is the body control module. If it is a warrenty issue, let them decide, else, they'd have to prove one or the other or both.

The only problem was with the radio? Could you describe what was occurring?

Default I may have the same problem

If what he has been having happen is every so often I start the car and the radio display is out. I turn off car and restart and it's back on. This wouldn't be a problem if GM didn't put the info center in the darn radio. If it weren't in the radio I would just change radios but I lose my tripometer, oil change due, and my MPG readings. And you know if I would buy another factory radio it would cost me an arm and a leg. I'll live with mine till I can't get it back on anymore.
