I live in Bergen County, NJ and I am in big trouble and in desperate need of help so that I won't lose my car, my baby. The long and short of it is I lost my job and all my money back in May of 2002. I had been with my company for 5 years before all kinds of bad things happened. I had some former friends defraud me and then to get out of repaying the debt they used the old wounds they knew about me against me to abuse me. Between the loss of all of my money in the stock market and my former friends abuse, my work quality suffered and I was eventually fired. They caused me to lose my job. Although I am suiting them (my mother snuck me money for my attorney as we aren't rich at all) and I have already won the case by default, I expect to conclude the case by the end of October of this year. You are asking at this point what does this have to do with a car enthusiast forum? Well, I still haven't been able to get a job, I am broke and have a cousin paying all of my bills and I do mean all. </P>


Here's the relevant part: I own a 1977 Malibu Classic that was bought by my parents back in 1976 as a brand new car straight from the show room, special ordered, as they did that back then. This car became my first car and I fell in love with her. I am in danger of losing the car because my landlord has pulled a dirty trick on me and is taking back the garage it has been stored in since I moved into the apartment in his house back in 1997. The agreement was that I was renting a small 2 bedroom apt. w/garage and driveway space and he was ok with my storing my car there. He has taken advantage of the fact that I trusted him to never screw me and he just has. We had a month to month lease and he has told me give him back the garage or find another apartment to live in and be out by the end of June.</P>


Since I am broke, haven't been able to find a job yet as where I live the companies haven't started rehiring middle level secretarial support yet I am now in danger of losing my car because I have no where to store it. The car hasn't been started since I moved into the apartment in 1997, so yes equivicably it is dead weight. The potential of losing my baby has made me cry on several occaisions and I am scared witless. Being supported completely by my cousin, I can not afford to pay anything to store it and I am looking for a kind and understanding person to help me not lose my baby. It has always been my dream to restore the car, by life has thrown me a real screwball of a curve ball and I haven't been able to start the project yet.</P>

Sell the car and get your life in order. I love collectable cars but would never let a vehicle create hardship in my life. Besides, for the cost of your AOL account you could probably rent a storage facility. You dont need internet access anyway.<IMG src=smileys/smiley11.gif border="0">
