Default DIC light too dim

The Driver Information Center display on the radio is way too dim during the day. I have to shield it to read it at all. I have the dimmer turned up so it is the brightest possible. Is there a way to make the display brighter?

Default RE: DIC light too dim

Could be a problem with the automatic lighting system triggering at the wrong time. When the headlights come on, the radio display dims so its not too bright at night.

What year is your malibu?

Default DIC Light

We have the same problem with our Malibu. Our's is a 2007. Any suggestions? The speedometer lights are brighter than the DIC. Any kind of sunlight, forget it.

Is the sensor for the DRL on the dash covered up by anything?
