Default heater blower motor noise?

Anyone ever notice their fan making a noise simular to the sound a CD makes when it spins? Maybe a fast ticking? Just noticed it and now it drives me nuts.

Mine did the same thing, a ticking noise especially when on speeds 1 or 2. I had the blower motor replaced under warranty and now the noise has gone.

Default Any Resolution to noisy blower motors in 2007 Malibu, 2009 Cobalt

Anything I can do besides finding a non Chevrolet blower motor, as the quality is obviously poor on the small Chevy cars.

Can I lubricate the blower motor ? The sound is like a worn bearing at the lowest 2 speeds. Like the others said, the sound is just loud enogh to drive me crazy. This is the last small chevy I will purchase. Funny my kids 89 Cavalier motor is not loud at all.

I did notice that as the weather warms up the noise goes away. What did they do build and design all these cars in the desert? I think the best idea would be to find a motor that isn't GM issue. The OEM part will be the same junk as was originally on car. I looked around and found one on a parts web site for $40 brand new but computer went down and I lost the site name. I guess its back to looking.
