Default Help***!!i will really appreciate any advice, on what to do next!!!

I just replace my throttle body, because of SVC POWER REDUCED . As soon as I go home, I get to a light, stop, and then the car has a burst of POWER. If I woulden't of had the brakes pressed, I would have rammed into the car ahead of me!! I take car back to the shop that just worked on it and, they tell me they can't check my trans fluid and I ought to go to a transmission specialist. Ok, but why did this happen immediately after you guys replace my Throttle Body? I'm not saying anything other than, What did installing a new throttle bodyhave an effect on what appears to be a transmission issue??? ANY IDEAS, PAST EXPERIENCE, OR THOUGHTS that HELPS ME FIX THIS AS SOON AS POSSIBLE WITH THE LEAST MONEY SPENT IS GREATLY APPRECIATED . Thank you in advance for all the gread advice given!!or your advice

Steve

ps... the car has roughly 150k and has been well maintained and serviced. It is an automatic.

GM has a generic throttle position relearn procedure that takes a few minutes to do yourself. Look it up on line. Google GM throttle relearn procedure and you will get multiple responses. The PDF from Rock Auto is fairly easy to follow.

What year is it?

Train yourself to shut the key off or put the tranny in neutral. As to the shop who couldn't check the tranny fluid, don't go back there as they don't know what they are doing.
The check hole on a 6T40e is an 11mm plug on the driver's side of the engine near the to of the frame. Just turn or remove the wheel, keep it level and fluid hot in neutral engine on idle Add fluid on black or red vent top of tranny, need a long funnel needed for that.
