How do I program new key fobs for my 2011 Malibu 2LT? Bought them on Amazon.

 

I believe you'll need the services of a dealer or locksmith to program the new fobs.

 

There seem to be a bunch of videos on youtube showing how to do it, but they all have different methods. Im going to try these when I get the fobs today.

 

We had a '09 Journey and we could self program additional fobs (up to 8 total). With the '10 Journey that option was deleted and you had to visit a dealer with all the key fobs. As I understand the self programming option was deleted due to security issues. GM may have done the same.

 

2010 was when gm stopped DIY programming on the trucks. sure thats when they stopped it for the rest.
