Key fob not working for 2014 Chevy Malibu
I drove my car to another city for a vacation. I had it in a parking garage for about 3 days without using it. When I went to check out and leave, the brake lights weakly flashed indicating some connection to the key fob, but the doors did not unlock. The trunk opened once after a bit of delay, but it never opened again.
I tried holding unlock and lock at the same time, pressing unlock near the car, got a new FOB battery, everything for almost 5 hours and eventually had to get a ride home. The physical key won’t work because my driver door is a replacement from a junkyard, so it’s not going to unlock the door. That is the only key slot on my car.
I think if I could just get inside I could start the car, but what seems to be the issue here?
