Default Leaking antifreeze & no taillights

Problem1: Leaking antifreeze
Problem2: Tail lights don't work
Vehicle: 1998 Chevy Malibu 2.4L Four-Cylinder
Location: Indiana

This vehicle belongs to my daughters best friend. He recently deployed and won't be back for a long time.
My daughter agreed to keep his vehicle maintained while he's gone. (IE: mom can do it)

When the vehicle arrived I was told that it was leaking antifreeze and that the taillights don't work.
I don't know the history of the vehicle and we don't have an address for the owner yet so I can't ask him.

Antifreeze issue:
The engine looks pretty clean and the antifreeze leak appears to be coming from the bottom of the vehicle. (I haven't located any drip marks higher up.)
Any thoughts on what piece/part would 'most likely' be the culprit?

Taillight issue:
I've checked the fuses, removed the taillights and checked the bulbs but so far the taillights still don't work.

I bought a Haynes manual for it yesterday so I'm reading through that and I've been searching the forums but I would appreciate input from seasoned owners.

Thank you.

I had a issue with a coolant leak which, at first, appeared to be coming from the area around my thermostat housing. It turns out my intake gasket was leaking. You should have your Malibuinspected by a certified mechanic immediately! If you do have a bad intake gasket, coolant could be leaking into your crank case which could cause catastrophic engine damage if left unchecked.
