Default Leaking coolant 2003 Malibu

Hi all,

I have a 2003 Malibu with the 3100 v6, and I've started leaking antifreeze. Washed the engine down, ran it, and found the leak behind the water pump. I've never done this before, so I wanted some help with figuring out where and what I am looking at.

It was spurting every few seconds for about a second, then when I went to get the camera it stopped, of course.

Any ideas? If you need more info, I'm happy to share.

Could be the lower intake manifold is seeping. I'd try tightening the bolts up and see if that solves your issue. The stock intake manifold is an issue with the 3.1 liter motor.

It could also be the water pump itself or the pump gasket. I think you need to take off the water pump and look for the cause.
