Question Lower ball joints

Both of my Lower ball joints on my 04 malibu maxx Ls are loose , theres lots of play .
I want to know if it's a Criticle part to fix right away or is it something I can leave for a while? I do not know.

Can I fix them by my self or should I take my car to a Mechanic ,want to know what the ball joints are going for and how much labor is before I make any decisions.
If i can do it my self I will

Thx in Advance

Very dangerous. If you have a good selection of tools and mechanical ability, you could do them yourself. No matter who does them the car should have a alignment after.
