Malibu 2006 LT
I have a 06 Malibu and am having intermittant problems with the ignition. When I put the key in the ignition and turn it nothing happens....it does not turn over . Have it back to the dealership a number of times and they can't seem to find the problem. Doesn't matter which key I use. It eventually starts ..any suggestions

We had two previous Malibus (a 1997 & 2002) before our current 2007 and both had faulty ignition/key switches. The 02 was towed twice to our closest dealer and they never found anything, on the third tow I demanded it be taken to the dealer I always use (I had to argue with GM roadside assistance to do that) because they are competent and they replaced the ignition switch and all was well ever since. This MAY be your problem as I was informed that it is common on Malibus.
