Malibu 2009, reset oil life
Hi guys,
I need help, I have changed the oil, filter, lube in the car, and I wanted to reset the oil life.
Following the instructions on the owner's manual in page 5-25, does not change the reading, the message is still "oil life 8%"

1. Display OIL LIFE RESET on the DIC.
2. Press and hold the INFO & the ENTER (<-) buttons for at least one second, let go. OIL LIFE RESET will display, hit ENTER (<-) button again and an ACKNOWLEDGED display message will appear for three seconds or until the next button is pressed. This tells you the system has been reset.
3. Turn the key to LOCK/OFF.
If the CHANGE OIL SOON message comes back on when the vehicle is started, the engine oil life system has not reset. Repeat the procedure.
