Malibu won't start after lower manifold gasket replacement...
This is a friend of my fiancee's car that I am working on and didn't realize what I was getting myself into. The car is a 2000 Malibu with the 3.1 V6.
This is the first time I"ve really dealt with an OHV motor and first time I've had to remove pushrods. I got everything apart fine and put it back together, but I'm not so sure about the pushrods if I torqued them correctly, etc....
The engine will not start, I have spark, fuel and compression is between 145-160 in all cylinders. I'm kind of stuck on where to go from here, is it possible to have good compression with the pushrods being torqued wrong? If so, how do correctly "repace" the pushrods? Thanks for the help, it's GREATLY appreciated.
