Apparently it’s one whole unit within the throttle body and not just a single sensor.

I’m kind of going to throw some $ at it a little and hope that a couple things together that would control the air/fuel and ignition will sort things out. This is all based on the fact that I have no idea of the maintenance that has been done. All these could be OEM with 176k miles on them. I’m thinking fuel filter, coolant temp sensor, thermostat, and a throttle body from a junkyard. The fuel filter may resolve the surging and sputtering at certain RPM. The temp sensor may be bad, causing the air/fuel mixture to be off. And I know I’ve gotten a code specifying the engine didn’t get up to a certain temp within a certain amount of time, pinpointing the thermostat the code said. And if the throttle body doesn’t work, I can just return it. But after all that, I’d be at a loss for words. I haven’t done spark plugs yet, but they look ok and I don’t believe are causing this issue. But still, the only codes received are the mass air and throttle position correlation, and low mass air circuit input.

Went and picked up two throttle body from the junkyard this evening. $60 for both. I’ll clean them up and install them and cross my fingers that it solves the issue. Both can’t be bad if that’s the issue with mine.

Well the two throttle bodies did not affect how the car is running and did not improve it or make it any worse. I am at a loss of what is left to do. I’m almost ready to take it to a shop.

Going to try a new MAP sensor. If that doesn’t help, then it’s on to spraying brake fluid around to check for a vacuum leak.

Problem solved...MAP sensor. Wish I would have known that from the get go. Easiest sensor to change lol. Thank you all for your input though!
