Default passenger air bag help
is there any way to switch the passenger side air bag off, of a malibu 2011 does anyone know?

There's no way to "switch" it off. It's automatically enabled or disabled based on the passenger sensing system. You can verify this by the passenger airbag status indicator with an adult sitting in it vs. a keg of beer or something.
