My 2004 malibu drives and steers just fine, but when I make right hand turns, my info center lights up a power steering light. Fluid is full, there are no leaks, steering is tight, no vibrations or noises. I can erase the fault code, sit in the driveway and turn the wheel till my arm drops off and no code will light up. When I start driving, it usually only takes a few minutes of making right hand turns to light up. I can make left hand turns all day and the code will not light up. Any thoughts out there?? I'd hate to start replacing parts with no idea where the problem might be.

 

I don't know what fluid you're referring to but the "POWER STEERING" message in the DIC means a problem with the Electric Power Steering (EPS) unit. How did you "erase the fault code" and what exactly was the code?
