With no warning I have no power steering or no power brakes. I checked the power steering fluid, good. I checked the brake fluid, good. Belts are good. I have no idea what to do and the truck can't be driven. Looking for some good suggestions to try. Thanks in advance for replies.

Are your brakes boosted with hyd pressure from power steering pump?

That would explain why they both went out at the same time.

I've seen the shaft break on the power steering pump on a couple of

GMs just inside the seal. Try removing the serpentine belt and pull on the

pump pulley with your hand, if it's broke it will come off in your hand!

I took the belt off and the pulley seemed fine. It moved in and out about an 1/8 of an inch, but it seemed tight. I think it will be soon towed into a shop. It beginning to sound like $$$.
