The remote entry locks and unlocks rear doors and passenger door BUT will not lock or unlock drivers door,, I have to do that with a key. I've followed the instructions in the manual about settings etc. but just can't seem to get it to work.

I have a 2004 Chevy Malibu 4 cylinder 4 door. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

 

Stupid question, does the power lock work from inside the car?

 

The door locks and unlocks inside the car with the "button". I've re-programmed it and then re-programed it again. Oh well, I'm stuck with locking the driver's door with a key I guess.

Since the power lock still works, if you want to dig in to it pull the door panel off and look for any loose connection. At leach plug just give a light tug on each individual wire and see if one of them is loose, if you find one it could be the one that is the sense wire for the keyless entry. Check at both the lock actuator and the lock switch.
