Default Remote start range

I just bought a new LT2 and have noticed that the remtote start has very little range on it. I was wondering if anyone knows where the antanna for the remote startis located on this car. Has anyone else noticed this problem and has anybody done anything that has worked to make it better. Thanks

Yeah 190' isn't quite enough for me. I used to have a compustar remote starter and it had about 1/4 mile range on it. I don't need that kind or range but I need more than 190' for the starter to be useful for me.

The reciever for the remote start is the same for the keyless entry, located under the reardeck cover in between the speakers. Although i am unfamiliar with it, I see the remote start antenna above the headliner at the rear of the vehicle. I have seen these utilize a grid in the rear window in other cars so I am wondering if that is what they are refering to.
There are aftermarket modules out there that will activate the factory remote start function at a much longer range. There is a 1 way and a 2way version out there.

Thanks for the info. Is there any chance that you can point me in the right direction to get on of these "aftermarket modules"?

here http://www.astroflex.com/index.php?m...mp;newlang=eng
or here http://www.bypasskit.com/product.aspx?prodid=XL2122

You may or may not be able to order directly form the monufacturer without being an installer. You might have to go see your local radio shop for more info
