Default Stupid question about my 2005 radio display

I replaced my battery on my 2005 2.2l maxx

I've done this before, but this time, the radio has done something it's never done before. The time display is blank. I can hit info and cycle through the milage, avg speed and whatnot, but as soon as it hits the display for the time it goes blank. I set the time and right after, it goes immediately blank. I can hit the info button and it comes up for a few seconds then goes blank. I've searched the manual and google ant turned up nothing on this problem. It's probably not a problem, just a button I have to push

Its the minimum radio, no tape, xm, aux, just single cd and radio

this happened to me, but the terminals were loose and it glitched out. What i did was take both terminals off, and turn the key to on to let loose any remaining power. then i screwed the terminals back in.

I wasn't as careful.

At the time I forgot exactly what you said, so I turned the key one to start and disconnected/reconnected ground.

Went in and the radio display said engine power decreased and engine disabled.

Then I turned it to acc instead, reset the battery and it worked fine, clock displayed good, might have found a prank to play on my mothers malibu if the "engine disabled" works on a 2011 malibu

Haha there you go. I pulled the relay on my dad's fuel pump once. Glad it worked out.
