Default toggle switch next to parking break pedal?

While removing the panel under the steering wheel for a stereo install I noticed a toggle switch with a tiny push button next to it located on the plastic panel left of the parking break pedal. The wires behind them look like they are OEM and run into a main wire loom. Whats this for? Or is it something that a previous owner added? I looked through my owners manual but found nothing about it.

It is actually a theft deterrent system of sorts, they do not mention it in the manual because on this certain year of Malibu, they experimented with this device.

The way it works is that while the alarm is set, this switch will automatically turn to on. when the alarm is disabled, it will turn to offWhen this is on, some of the fuel is redirected to a seperate steel chamber under the hood that also contains some flint. If a criminal were to disable the alarm on a vehicle and go to drive it away, most of the fuel will power the engine, but the rest of the fuel will be injected into this other chamber so that as soon as the car hits a bump and the flint rattles... well you get the picture.

This theft deterrent system was discontinued after 04 because some liberal decided that we would be better served to keep all of the lowlifes alive so that we can feed them in prisons with our tax dollars
