Default 01' Monte Carlo SS Dashboard Problem!

I have installed a Dual xdvd700 dvd player on my 2001 Monte Carlo SS. I have A GM06 harness with the factoryradio connector installed as well (so i will not slice nor cutt any wires). My factory radio is located in the trunk. I have matched all the wires from the dvd harness to the GM harness so there will be a clean and safe installation. My radio works fine but will turn off 30 - 60 secs after car door is open (not suppose to do that) and while I am driving, my dashboard is "dimmed", also my temp controls are ALL out of wack. I do not know what could be the problem, if anyone have any idea of what the solution may be, please by all means, inform me. Thanks!!

P.S.
Sorry about the dvd player photo that's big!

Default RE: 01' Monte Carlo SS Dashboard Problem!

A lot of dvd players have their own kind of R.A.P. system, Where they'll stay on for a minute or so after they lose accessory voltage. I would say this is normal operation.
As for the other problems, try unplugging everything you've installed, and see if the probelms go away. The dash lights could be the dimmer control was inadvertanly turned down? Maybe the radio is causing the problem....try removing the orange or orange\white wire from the circuit to see if that helps.
