I get about 380 miles per tank, and at times, slightly over 400. This translates to about 26 to 29 MPG.

Seriously? Are we talking the same Vehicle? I have a 1998 Monte Carlo LS - 3.1 and it only gets about 260 per tank in the dity. Are you two fella's (98monte and greysvo)talking about straight out highway miles? If not fill me in on this awesome mileage. That would get me through almost of month on a fill-up!!!
