Default 97 lumina 3.1 P1350 code

hello,
i have a 97 lumina sedan 3.1 liter.....runspretty well for 120k......
i went for a sticker and the tech said i had a P1350 code. ignition control system.....it also said....or engine misfire.....the tech said for about 50 buck at the jy i could get another ignition control module with the 3 ignition coils as a whole unit. igot one andfirst i tested the primary and secondary of each ignition coil and the readings were right on as far as my book says. then i changed it out. before i did, i disconnected the battery. the check engine light is still on. my only question right now is....do i need to reset the code and shut the check engine light off with a code reader?
thanks,
dave

Go to autozone and have them give yoyu a printout and have them re-set it. I had to have this done on my 2001 blazer yesterday

Either that or just disconnect your battery for 10minutes or so and then reconnect it, the light should be out when you fire it up.
