Default 97 Lumina Cabin Air Filter

Does anyone know if the 97 Lumina has a cabin air filter? Some places state that it located under the passenger side cowling, but I don't see it after I remove the cowling. It seems like there should be one.

Thanks,
Ward

Thanks for the offer. I still have not located it. There is one listed in the Fram and the Purolator book. It just doesn't appear to be where the instructions say it should be.

Thanks,

Default RE: 97 Lumina Cabin Air Filter

Sincemy 1997 Luminawas new, I always had a difficult time keeping the dash and inside of the car clean. I decided to change the cabin filter to see if I could tidy things up and bit. I went to a auto part dealer and they sold be what they said was the correct cabin filter. I as surprised when I looked at my Chilton manual because I could not find anything about the cabin filter. I tore the car apart using the instructions that came with the filter.....guess what? No cabin filter. It never had one.

Has anyone found another filter that will fit on the air intake on a 1997 Lumina 3.1L?
