Default Chevy Lumina Engine Swap

Hello, I am here on Chevy Forums with the Chevy enthusiastic members, hoping to find any information in swapping a 3.1 l V6 engine to a larger V8 engine. Looking for information with compatible engine such as a 8 cylinder from the monte carlo and also if there is any places that will help in showing what parts will have to be replaced. Any help would be helpful thank you all Chevy lovers

I know this is an old thread, but I would consider the 3.9 v6 (240hp stock) it is almost a straight swap and they are dirt cheap. You could swap in the LS4 but that would require a lot more work, and would defiantly require the 4t65hd. personally I would swap in the 3.9, way simpler and not to mention easier to find. Or you could find one that came with the 3.8 and buy an s/c kit from zzp (under 2k) Just my $.02
