Default crankshaft position sensor broken off in engine

<HR style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #d1d1e1; COLOR: #d1d1e1" SIZE=1> <!-- / icon and title --><!-- message -->
i have a 92 lumina with 3.1 . i was trying to twist out the old cps when it broke in half leaving the other half in engine. trying to figure out the best way to remove the broken half in the engine. i thought about dropping the oil pan considering its right above the pan and trying to pop it out from the inside. any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

You can try to screw a self tapping screw into it and pull with pliers. Most likely you will be pulling the pan.
