Hi all, I have an 03 monte LS. I had the window replaced yesterday, BRAND NEW WINDSHEILD! Thanks to the nasty rock that took it out.

Question please...i've NEVER had to replace glass in ANY car i've owned. The shop told me that the car would have to sit for one hour for the sealant to work, and not to wash the car for two days for the same reason. So after having an extended lunch I went back to pick the car up. They said it was ready. Driving off yesterday and driving today...the glass is knocking/squeeking etc etc.

Is this normal for few days? I'd like to know before I go back in there and rant and rave and demand that it be placed back in.

Would appreciate any advice/comments/concerns regarding this issue.

 

Not normal at all. In fact, most squeaks and scraping noises start a good while after miss-applied sealants set.

 

Thanks blue! I didn't think it was normal..lets face it once something is fixed or replaced the problem stops. But I wasn't 100% as to glass replacement/seals etc. I guess i'll have to spend another 2-3 hours and get them to replace it.
