Default Lumina stalls

Hello, I own a 1998 Lumina. Car runs great, when it runs. Lately it has a stalling problem. The car will drive fine and then stall. There are NO CODES. It may restart and idle but it will not move. If I put it in gear it stalls immediately and will not restart.
My mechanic has changed the MAF, Alternator, Battery, Fuel pump and filter.
Does anybody have any clue what this is. If it sits it will start and idle without any problem. Last time it stalled it restarted and I had it idle for twenty minutes while waiting for a tow truck. When I put it in drive shut off and would not restart.

Do you have a code reader? I know it isn't showing any codes, but I had a similar issue with my 96. Intermittent just like shutting the key off. I'd get a CEL, and PO102 MAF off efficient (or whatever) that was due to the air flow shutting off because the engine just quit. Wouldn't restart unless I erased the code, then it would restart, and run till the next time. If you have a code reader that can erase the code, it clears the ecm, try that, if it does the same thing as mine, replace the ecm. MAF won't cause this issue.

First of all thank you for your input.
I do not have a code reader. But, he does and every time it stalls.NO CODE. It often will not restart immediately. But, let to sit overnight it will restart. I keep thinking torque converter locking up but he said no transmission codes. I also thought of the Catalytic converter. But, the car has power, when it runs.
Last time this happened it ran for 50 miles. Then decided to stop. I restarted and let it idle for over 20 minutes. Put it in gear and it stalled. It wold not restart after that. I think he restarted it the next day without a problem. It has been a while. Any more ideas are welcome. And thank you again.
