Default Motor swap in an 05' Carlo

I have the 3.4, and am somewhat pleased with the car itself. However, I want a lot more power. Especially after seen' all these cocky SS drivers cruisin' around with their smug attitudes and grins of superiority. I'm sick of it. I wanna smoke em, with a "3.4 model".

But I would like to drop a 305 V8 into my "3.4 model", and work from there. All mechanical, keeping true to the original looks. I don't want them to know what's about to happen to em.

Can I make the swap without too much fuss?

And I have another newb ?. How do I know all the options available to me as far as what motors I can put in a car? Not just this one, but any car, any motor. What is it that would tell me what engines I can fit into a car?
