Can someone enlighten me as to why an Impala SS 2004 supercharged 3.8 is valued at 17k and my 2004 Monte Carlo SS S/C is only worth 12k what is tup with that

If you are using KBB, its bacause the Imp is a 4-door.
2-door cars hardly ever hold their value as well as 4-door cars with KBB.

so that's it how gay im not trying to hate on impalas but i payed 18 for my car 2 years ago i wonder how much an impala was worth then

I don't know of any source that you could use to look up the value of a car two years befor the present.

Since KBB is a average of reports of what cars SOLD for in the recent past. Seems the value difference might be a indication of populararity?

Thats taken into account to some extent. Prestige I guess would be a better word.
