the other day I replaced my driver side window switch b/c it was broken. so bought a new one put it in and right away i heard a clicking and could smell electrical wires burning. Then the switch didn't work, so took it back got another one and it worked for a day then did the same thing.. any thoughts?like a ground or something?

Default RE: Window switch

check for pinched\grounded wires. Also test the window motor using a 12v drill battery or similar to make sure the motor isn't shorted internally
