I am installing a satellite radio kit into my 2000 Chev Monte Carlo SS. The radio is AM/FM, Single CD, Cassette. I purchased the XMDirect Kit to do this job, along with the appropriate OE adapter. (Terk XMDGMK). It came with a wiring harness to connect to the stereo, however upon attempting to install this, I discovered that there is no 12 pin connector for the stereo to connect to the new harness. My question being: What does this 12 pin connector do, where might I find one for my vehicle, and is there any way I may be able to splice into this cable somewhere else in my vehicle.

If you had factory XM or Onstar this harness would be in the vehicle

 

However, there was orginally no factory sat radio, or onstar.. which is why I am looking for this missing 12 pin cable. Any ideas?
