Battery light is on. New battery, alternator is 5 months old, new starter. Lookin for info on troubleshooting this battery light. I have a multimeter. And still have old alternator which I had tested said it was good. Almost wanna put old alternator back in and see if light goes off. Any info would be helpful t.y. also fusible link or fuse for alternator where and what it look likes?

a battery light will set a fault code; have it read and post it. it will help identify where to start diagnosis.
-start the engine:
-with your voltmeter...measure the voltage across the battery terminals
-measure the voltage from the alternator Big post and other lead on the battery grd terminal...post your results.
