Hey guys I have a 2007 Chevy classic crew cab with the 4.8 in 4x4.
Its a little under powered for the weight that it’s pulling, I am looking for some easy mods to get it to breath better and live better.
it was owned by my dad and I never plan to sell it, it’s got 173k miles the last 145k were freeway miles.
me and my mom bought it when it was 2 years old for my dad without him seeing it, means a lot to me to have it now, I want to keep it In good shape. But the smaller motor for that heavy of a truck really take away from what it can be.
need some help with some mods to really wake it up without effecting the longevity of the power train, any ideas???

Welcome to the forum.
You need to repost in the Silverado section where people will see it. This is only the Welcome to new members section. As far as your question though, the standard things you can do are camshaft, heads, and exhaust. None of those are cheap however. You might look at a rebuilt small block 350 as a drop in or a crate motor from Chevrolet which comes with a three-year warranty.
