08 sub engine swap
I got a 08 sub with LMG 5.3 engine. I want to drop in an 05 5.3. What has to be done to make that possible? I’m having problems with the AFM system. Got a spun lifter in cylinder six and don’t want to rebuild it. I just want to drop in a low miles 5.3.

Pretty sure that you can drop a 2005 583 liter into your 2008 vehicle. Not to much difference as far as I know. I don't care for the AFM system at all, BTW..
