Hello All, i am a new member just saying hi!! I do have a quick question maybe someone can answer. I am doing a disc brake conversion and everyone is telling me i have to take out ALL of the factory brakes lines and change them to 3/16". Is that true? Thanks for reading.

Welcome to the forum. You need to ask you a question in the Chevelle section in order to get more views.
Since the braking system works on pressure, I'm not sure what an increase in brake line size would be for. Since there is no flow, there would be no appreciable pressure drop due to the size of the brake line. But there may be other things in the equation that I'm not considering.

If the brake lines are original, I'd replace them.
