Hello my name is Don. I have a vehicle that is stumping me badly. It is 1997 Chevy Tahoe ls,5.7 4x4 automatic,4 Dr. Recently purchase did not run and like a fool believed former owner.I am a certified diesel tech and stopped working on gasoline autos a few years back so I am little New to this computer stuff. Anyway. Truck did not run when I bought it former owner said it was parked for a year and when he parked it it ran good. Took him at his word. Well recently I have replaced battery,distributor,cap,rotor,cam sensor,coil,ignition control modular ,plugs and wires. Vehicle now runs and was running good cleared out all old codes and it was running excellent for about 4 days. Let it sit for a day when I went back out too start it up engine light came on,idles crappy,lot of smoke come out of tailpipe not bluish ,has code of multiple,misfire and no correlation between cam sensor and crank position sensor. Rechecked everything cannot find the solution to my problem. Also checked cat they seem to be fine,pulled 02 sensors no change.any help with this issue would be great! Thank you in advance
