1999 Radiator issue

I'm new to the forum and I'm seeking some help with an issue I'm having. My 99 S-10 was losing coolant and I had no hot air coming from the vents or defrost of the vehicle. I filled the coolant reservoir and hot air started immediately coming out of the vents and defrost areas. Two days later, same thing, low coolant and cold air coming from the vents and defrost. Upon closely inspection, I had a cracked radiator. I took it to a Chevy repair shop for replacement and they performed the repair. I now have a new radiator and the reservoir is full with coolant, but I have cold air coming out the vents once again. Should I immediately have hot air blowing out like I did three days earlier? Any suggestions? Thanks everyone.
