Default 1999 Suburban in Kansas

I have a 1999 Chevy suburban 4x4, with a 5.7, 4l60e, np246, 2 inch lift. I love my suburban but I lost 3rd and 4th, so I pulled the transmission, and transfer case. The news is not good, I removed the pan to find a black slurry. Then I drained the T-case, three drops of fuild and metal chunks is all that I found. I can rebuild them both, but I think I want to do the 4l80e swap, because I intend to lift it another 4 inchs, and I tow with it from time to time. What I need to find out what other transfer cases will work a swapped 4l80e in my Burb. Did they offer a NP246, or another electric shift t-case? I wouldn't even mind swapping a floor shifting case. If I did that how would rig the front diff for manual engagement? I don't want to use any expensive adapters, This is going to have to a budget project. Any help would be great. I can't wait to get her running again.
