2008 Chevy Silverado 4x4 z71 is having trouble shifting out of park
Hey my 2008 Chevy Silverado is not wanting to shift out of park. Some days it shift fine. Other days I have to keep trying over and over until it finally moves.
What could cause this to happen? Plus I just noticed my cruise doesn't work. The light will come on, but will not set.

the brake pedal position switch provides an input for cruise and shift interlock operation.
there will be body codes set to help diagnose this fault if you can read them with a scan tool.
do you hear the interlock solenoid click when the brake pedal is pressed?
