4-wheel drive not working

Hey, my name is Brian and I have a 1994 Chevy Silverado 350 tbi and when I put my truck into 4-wheel drive it will not move but if I put it in 2 high it moves. I do need a new gear box and don't know if that has anything to do with it or not. Please help
